To import from Jebel Ali to UAE or other GCC countries, the following documents must be submitted to the Customs Department by the local or GCC importer or their clearing agent to receive the FZ Transit Out Invoice.
Documents required to import from Jebel Ali:
Delivery Notice from Free Zone Company – must be stamped by the buyer (importer – local company) and the seller (exporter – Free Zone Company).
Original item-wise invoice with HS code classification and reference number for each item from the responsible company in the Free Zone.
Original packing list from the responsible company in the Free Zone.
Import declaration form for goods.
Copy of the trade license of the seller and buyer.
No objection certificate from the competent authority or ministry or departments in case the goods are restricted or prohibited.
Online approval for exemption from customs duties from the relevant authorities, ministries or departments. A request and application letter is required if the UAE importer is exempt from paying customs duties.
General Provisions:
The person authorized to import must have a commercial license from the competent authorities in the country or one of the GCC countries, and the goods must be in accordance with the licensed activity. The person authorized to import must have obtained a valid import code from customs. The goods must be removed from the free zone within 30 days, extendable for a similar period, after issuing the customs declaration. The goods are subject to inspection before final release.
